Basic Operations of Wafer Marking Studio

3.1 Object Interaction and Operations
3.1.1 Placing an Object
1. Select an object from the Side Bar Menu (e.g., Semi Font).
2. Move your mouse, and the selected object will follow the cursor on the screen.
3. Click the left mouse button to place the object at the current cursor location.

3.1.2 Highlighting Objects
• Press the ESC key or click the Select button to enter selection mode.
• Hover your mouse over an object in the Main Window, and the object will be highlighted.

3.1.3 Selecting Objects
• When an object is highlighted, click the left mouse button to select it.
• A selected object will change color to indicate its selection.

3.1.4 Translating Objects
1. Move your cursor over the selected object until it changes to a cross cursor .
2. Press and hold the left mouse button, then drag the object to a new location using the mouse.

3.1.5 Rotating Objects
1. Hover over a selected object until the cursor changes to a donut cursor .
2. Press and hold the left mouse button, then move the mouse:
• Move upper-right to rotate clockwise.
• Move lower-left to rotate counterclockwise.

3.1.6 Scaling Objects
1. Move your cursor to the edge of the object's bounding box until the cursor changes to a cross cursor .
2. Press and hold the left mouse button, then drag the mouse to resize the object.

3.1.7 Shearing Objects
1. Move your cursor along the object's bounding box edge until the cursor changes to:
• A left-right arrow for horizontal shearing.
• An up-down arrow for vertical shearing.
2. Press and hold the left mouse button, then drag the mouse to shear the object.

3.2 File Management
3.2.1 Saving Files
• Click the Save button on the Top Menu to save the current project.

3.2.2 Loading Files
• Click the Open button on the Top Menu, navigate to the saved file on your device, and load the project.

3.3 Editing Operations
3.3.1 Undo and Redo
• Undo: Click the Undo button to revert the project to its previous state.
• Redo: After an undo operation, the Redo button becomes active. Click it to reapply the undone action.
3.3.2 Fit to Screen
• Click the Fit to Screen button on the Top Menu to center and fit the metallic gray wafer circle to the display.
3.3.3 Zoom-In and Zoom Out
• Zoom In: Click the Zoom In button on the Top Menu to view project details in greater resolution.
• Zoom Out: Click the Zoom Out button to reduce detail and view a larger area of the project.

3.3.4 Duplicating Objects
• After selecting an object, click the Duplicate button on the Top Menu to create a copy of the object.
• The duplicate will appear slightly offset to the lower-right of the original object.

3.3.5 Deleting Objects
• Select an object and click the Delete button on the Top Menu to remove it.
• A confirmation dialog will appear before deletion is finalized.

3.3.6 Multiple Selection
• Hold the Ctrl key and use the mouse to select multiple objects.
• The following operations can be applied to all selected objects:
• Duplicate: Creates duplicates of all selected objects, positioned to the lower-right.
• Delete: Removes all selected objects (with confirmation).
• Align: Use the alignment buttons (Left Align , Top Align , Right Align , Bottom Align ) to align the selected objects relative to each other.
